Description

Everything comes easier to Halili. He is faster than his brother, better-looking, quicker to laugh, and he rides out first because it does not occur to him that anything might not go his way. Then he sees a girl across a wedding fire in a rival house and decides, with total confidence and no plan whatsoever, that he will marry her. What he starts with that decision is a feud that will cost both families sons, and the brother who has spent a lifetime cleaning up after him will have to choose, one more time, between being right and being loyal.
