Description
An elderly Spanish gentleman reads every book of chivalry ever printed, concludes that the age of knights is not over but merely under-staffed, and rides out to fix it. He has no training, borrowed armour, a farmer for a squire and a horse held together by optimism. He attacks windmills because he sees giants. He is beaten, robbed, laughed at and put in a cage, and he is wrong about very nearly everything - except that the world would be better if someone behaved as though the stories were true. The joke lasts four hundred years because it stops being a joke.
